Saturday, April 14th, 1962: Cleveland Blanks Athletics, Monbouquette Wins
It was a razor-sharp performance by Bill Monbouquette of the Cleveland Indians against the Kansas City Athletics. He fashioned a fine 2-hitter in blanking them 5-0 and chalked up 1 strikeout and 3 walks.

Friday, December 1st, 1961: 2B Bolling Selects Kansas City's $1,480,000 Deal
Kansas City's signing of Frank Bolling was met with mixed reactions today as the 30-year-old second baseman was introduced to the media. Some experts consider him overpaid at $1,480,000 a year for 1 year, while others insist that Bolling is a perfect fit for the Athletics.

Career to date Bolling is hitting .280 with a total of 132 home runs.
